At Rentals United we love events! Every time we come back with new ideas, new contacts and a real boost in energy… no, nothing beats meeting people face-to-face! So here’s a list of the most important conferences for Vacation Rental Professionals. Some are just travel orientated but every time we go we meet familiar people from the industry. Find out which ones interest you most and… we see you there!

VRMA Conferences

If you can only make it to one event in 2016 make sure it is a VRMA event (Vacation Rental Managers Association). There are a lot of options: the European seminar, the US East and West coast seminars and the big annual one. The networking and educational opportunities at these seminars blew our minds in 2015 (check out pics from the annual VRMA 2015 in New Orleans).

Breaking news: our CMO Vanessa de Souza Lage was selected to present at the VRMA Europe in Barcelona 7th & 8th of March 2016. Don’t miss her session on “Making more bookings: the past, present and future of distribution” on Monday 7th of March, 16:45 – 17:45, get your pass now!

RezFest is a conference hosted by Homeaway on Sept 21-23 2016 in Orlando that is geared exclusively to professional vacation rental managers. This technology and networking event will be an amazing experience for anyone wanting to develop the technological skills and know-how specifically in the VR industry. And everyone always comes back raving about it!!

VrTech Events

The founder of the VrTech events is our very own CMO, Vanessa, but the event is a standalone brand, separate from Rentals United. This intimate meet-up has already been travelling from Barcelona to Paris and plans are to go to London, Florence and Amsterdam in the coming months. Four technology companies are invited to make a very short (6 minutes) presentation on a set subject in front of a crowd of Vacation Rental Professionals. There’s also a panel of discussion with industry leaders where questions can be asked. The idea is to create a forum of minds to accelerate innovation in the vacation rental industry. Get on the list for the next event or follow the Twitter page to be notified of the next event (monthly).
