Our always helpful support team consists of Support Manager Fanny, and Damien, Deyana, Saber & Jessica. Fanny tells us how a typical day at support looks like and gave her team fabulous nicknames!
Don’t think that there is a “typical day” when you work at Rentals United 🙂 But usually, it includes some emailing, internal meetings, running around between different departments wishing that I could clone myself 🙂
2 years. There is a great opportunity to grow internally and take on a lot of responsibility. You can see that your work make a big difference and it is also a really fun Industry to work in.
Multi-tasking, loyal and fun!
The team is amazing. We work hard and have fun. Strong personalities that bring great ideas and are not afraid to speak their minds. That is why we have been able to expand so rapidly during these years.
Yoga and Dancing.
A bungalow on a beautiful beach somewhere in South America.
Tough one…But I must say Colombia. It is an amazing country with a great diversity. No way you get bored.
RU ROCKS!Deyana – The Humming Bird.
She is quiet and quick. By far the one who gets through most tickets in a day.
Damien – The DJ.
Solving issues for our clients while listening to his own music. Dreaming of taking over the Barcelona music scene one day. Check him out here and hereSaber – The Turtle
He does it right, but not that quick…Taking time to talk with clients over the phone and is willing to go an extra mile to get issues solved.
The North-American team consists of James, Romy, and Daniel, more familiarly known as the NA Team! The head of North-America, James, answered our questions with a hint of his funny (odd) sense of humor 😉
My typical working day starts later and finishes later for me than most. As our team is responsible for the North America, Canadian and LATAM markets, we work East Coast hours. I arrive at the office around lunch time and have about 4 hours of working with the other teams before the office gets really nice and quiet! My working day generally leads me to wear a lot of different hats. Primarily I am responsible for sales and ensuring targets are hit. I also need to spend time with each of our PMS partners to ensure we have the best possible working relationship. I ensure our KAM is able to service our clients as efficiently as possible and am always available to jump on a call with a client for problem-solving. Motivating the team and keeping everyone smiling (including the clients) is a super important part of my job. I truly believe that clients can tell that we are a happy and motivated team that will always go the extra mile.
I have worked at Rentals United for 3 months. There are many things I love about working for RU, firstly, the people are amazing and work harder than I’ve ever seen any team work. I also love our office dog, Lola and the roof terrace.
Fun, flexible and hard working!
For me, the best part of working at RU is the huge adventure that we are embarking on as a team. Being given the opportunity, trust, and responsibility to lead the business development of North America, a market with amazing potential gives me many sleepless nights but I love the challenge at hand and would not change it for the world.
Getting wet. Generally speaking, you will find me on the ocean when I am not working. I started windsurfing at the age for 4 and never stopped. If I am not windsurfing, I will be sailing, surfing or swimming.
I would be a sailing yacht. A yacht can be moved when you don’t like your neighbors.
The Gili Islands in Indonesia. For me, a vacation destination has to have total tranquility and relaxation. These islands have no cars or motorbikes, just horse and boat taxi’s to move around (and plenty of time to surf).
A big thank you to both Daniel and Romy for keeping me on my toes and always being there for us to solve issues as a team, create new processes and create super happy clients that are advocating our great services, publicly!
I gave her this nickname because you asked me to and I found a nickname generator website to do so 😉Daniel: T-Bone.
I gave him this nickname because you asked me to and I found a nickname generator website to do so 😉
Agustin is our Customer Strategic Analyst, and head of our interns Dana and Guillaume. He kindly answered our questions and gave rather funny nicknames to our beloved interns!
Fabulous!! Morning coffee brainstorming with the team on market trends, new features to implement in order to make our client’s life easier. The rest of the day consists of loads of interesting analysis on customer’s feedback and actions according to with the top of their priority. What I like the most is the helicopter view I can get from the company and within this, I easily spot what needs to be improved.
I am the first employee at Rentals United, but fortunately the company is not that old so neither do I 🙂 I’ve been here for 2 years and a half.
I tell them they are FASTASTIC (Fast + Fantastic), Efficient and detailed focus.
The company culture, the mission and the market we are working at.
At the office: chilling out with my colleagues in our amazing terrace, but the best thing I´ve ever done are my kids so spending time with them dressing up and dancing is the best way to recharge. On a personal level diving is what bring silence and simplicity to life.
A sunset sea view villa in Costa Brava, Spain.
Definitely Cozumel, lot´s of good diving spots also fruits, sunsets and a place where there´s a lot of improvement to be done.
Lola, our company dog, miss her whenever she is not around.
Guillaume: Fidodido (click here for explanation)Dana: channel distributor, in charge of assigning leads.
We asked our Regional Director of this team, Marianna, to shed light on how her daily routine is, and she responded with her usual bright and shiny personality, and gave some fantastic nicknames to describe her team!
Starting the day with energizing Brazilian samba music that I like to share with my team, I tend to spend half of my time with the team and the other half with clients. Managing the Spanish market on top of Italy, France, and Portugal, having the privilege of meeting and greeting clients face to face, which is the part that I love the most.
I have joined RU only three months ago even if I feel I’m part of the family since the beginning of the project. I like the company values, the way they value clients and employees, they spoil us in many ways and the time spent in the office is really enjoyable and productive at the same time.
Vibrant, Smart, and Motivated!
Being part of a Company that is moving from a Start-up level, and progress as a leader in the VR world. I feel each of us contribute on a daily base to the company growth, and I love making a difference professionally – and personally wise.
I am a sea and sun addict, I love long walks on the beach, watching the sunset, swim and .. get tan 🙂
I would be a beach house rental, overlooking the sea.
Morro de Sao Paulo (Brasil). Amazing beach, music, food, great waves for surfing and there I can reach a true peace of mind.
Yes, a swimming pool on the roof terrace at Rentals United would be great, good for lunch breaks and also for after work parties on Fridays!

Our Regional Director for the UK, Israel, and ROW (Rest of the World!), Ralph, answered our questions with his lovely British humor, and gave his team ancient Greek related nicknames!
There’s no such thing as a typical day here! But I always start with a strong coffee and a blast through my morning emails, and a quick check through the calendar to plan my meetings for the day. Typically my meetings will be with PMS partners and large clients, discussing integrations, getting properties live on our sales channels and generally how we can work together to help clients grow using our channels. After a lunchtime swim in the local pool, my afternoon would typically be spent meeting with the team – working with the account managers or sales reps to continue to improve how the team is doing. More specific projects come up frequently too, such as how we manage certain IT issues alongside our support team.
I’ve worked at RU for nearly 2 years now. I most enjoy the fact that we work with so many different clients in so many different ways, and there’s so much variety in what we do. Problem-solving is a big part of the job here, and it’s really satisfying when you get to the bottom of something big and complicated!
Dedicated; experts; magic.
The people (and dog), without a doubt!
Swimming at lunchtimes, and running on the beach. And catching some sunshine at weekends.

Our Connectivity team consists of Patricia and George. Together they make a powerful and unbeatable team and have managed to become the connectivity masters in a short time!
Patricia: A typical day is very busy between connections, calls, emails, meetings…it is never boring and the day goes by very fast!
George: Very busy, I handle many Connections and Phone calls throughout the day, as well as helping others in the office out with issues and talking directly with all our Sales Channels.
Patricia: For a bit more than a year now. I like that it is always changing, there’s always something to do, and every day when I leave the office I know I have not wasted my time, so that’s very satisfying.
George: I have been working at rentals United for just over 2 Years now. I love the atmosphere in the office and our team. We all work together as 1, so we get a lot more dealt with.
Patricia: Hard-working, helpful, and efficient.
George: Fast, Reliable and Positive.
Patricia: I love working here because of the atmosphere which is really nice, everyone is willing to help you and support you. It really motivates you to do your best and work hard every day, and the job is really interesting too, there are always new things to learn and room for improvement!
George: The relationships with everyone in the Office… And the Free Food on Fridays!
Patricia: I like to take a walk around the block or go on the rooftop which is super nice, and listening to music really helps as well.
George: I take 5 Minutes now and then on our Magnificent Terrace. The Barcelona Sunshine just takes you away from everything for a while.
Patricia: A villa with ocean view, on a tropical island, with a big terrace, pool, and garden.
George: I would be a Villa, somewhere in the Sun. Swimming pool with diving boards & a nice restaurant nearby. I would be Pet-Friendly and have a large “social room” for parties.
Patricia: It would be Guadeloupe in the Caribbean, that’s where I was born so it’s very special to me, it’s beautiful and it’s everything I love in one island!
George: At the moment, It would be Greece, Kassiopi to be exact. A wonderful village by the coast. I went there twice as a child and it is still one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
Patricia: Go RU !!!
George: “The expert in Anything, Was once a beginner” – Google Search Page
Patricia: Perfect Patricia, As she is always on the ball, Connecting clients and helping others.George: Blondie, because of the hair, you can’t miss it 😀
Last but not least, we asked our Chief Marketing Officer, Vanessa, to answer these fun question, and to give her team Hubert, Adria, and Emma nicknames!
The great thing is that there’s no typical day at Rentals United!! But as I rule I try to answer all my emails (a lot of them sigh), make my team laugh, meet with management, spend not too much time on social but as much time on the terrace as possible, devising creative ideas for our marketing!
I’m one of the founders (2012 really!) but became full time in March 2015. I like the start-up buzz we have, even though in just a few years we’ve positioned ourselves as a leader in channel management for vacation rentals. And I love the dedication of the team – you guys all rock!
Dedicated, passionate, kind.
The team spirit!! It’s WOW!
