Founded in 2017, SobeNY is an American hospitality company providing luxury accommodation for short-term travel in core urban destinations in the US. The company grew from a handful of properties in Nashville, TN and Miami, FL to over 500 properties over 10 cities across the US.

The company provides alternative accommodations for travelers that help them feel right at home, aiming to create a consistent experience at each of their properties.

To complement their business, SobeNY hired the PMS, Hostfully, to help manage their property management business as well as Breezeway for their cleaning and operations management.

The company quickly realized that in order to grow their business, they needed more sales channels and also required more consistent connections.  They found Rentals United as a channel manager that seamlessly connects with their PMS while offering the diversity of connections they needed for their marketing strategies. 

The benefits to working with a channel manager that worked seamlessly with their PMS gave them access to more sales channels, and the ability to manipulate rates in more detail on the Rentals United platform before sending the rates to the channels.

This model proved to be successful for them by increasing their bookings, occupancy rates, and revenues.  Rentals United also helped them broaden their customer base from 100% domestic to now 60% international clients.  

During the height of COVID in 2020, they were successfully able to pivot their marketing strategy to attract traveling health care professionals which effectively supplemented their business through COVID until travel started to rebound in early 2021.

Their goals for 2021 are to double their inventory heading into 2022. In the long term, the company plans to continue to expand domestically and internationally as well.
