To help them optimize their business, DesignedVR hired both a PMS and a channel manager. Their PMS, Guesty, fulfills all the essential property management needs, while their channel manager, Rentals United, combines all their different channels under one umbrella. DesignedVR finds it very convenient and easy to connect to all of the different channels using the Rentals United platform as it makes the whole onboarding and connection process as simple as possible. In addition, all conversations with guests from different channels are accessible in one place which saves them a lot of time. So in a big way, it completes the PMS.

DesignedVR was launched in 2017 when founders Shahar and Kat Goldboim, steadfast travellers who frequent vacation rentals, realised there was something missing in the vacation home experience. They used their professional and dynamic talents of real estate and interior design along with years of training in hospitality to create clean, beautiful and exciting spaces for their guests. The third co-owner of the company, Alon Goldboim, is the head of the Developing team. 

DesignedVR is proud to call Miami, Florida home. Their  properties are located mostly near each other in Hollywood, Hallandale Beach, Deerfield, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Pompano Beach. They manage different types of vacation rentals including houses, apartments and hotel-like buildings with multiple units.

Their homeowners have their own interface with their management software in which they can track all of the expenses, as well as service calls created for any issues.  They can see all upcoming reservations, and receive notifications for guest reviews and cancelations by guests.   

Their guests also have their own interface, which they call the “Guest Portal” in which they can gain access to the door code, check-in information, user agreement, request special items (pack-n-play, High chairs, pool fence installation), they also have access to their payments and can complete the payment as needed in case of a new reservation or an extension when we are the merchant of records. Guests also access the store within the portal, where they can upgrade their stay by purchasing a late check-out or early check-in, parking passes, pool heater, additional cleaning (for longer stays), and soon they will also be able to book a private chef.

DesignedVR has their own property managers and tech managers to maintain all properties, as well as external contractors (for Pest control, Pools, Landscape, etc).  They currently work with three external cleaning companies and soon will form their own cleaning department.  Their Guest Communication team consists of 18 employees, in locations from the USA, Israel and the Philippines. The company also operates its own security rovers (starting at 7 pm) to assist in case of a party or any broken rules. 

As DesignedVR started to grow more, managing all communication with guests, reservations, and listings creation became difficult. They had to create a separate listing for each channel for the same property, and manage communication with guests from each channel individually. 

They needed a better way to connect to multiple channels and expand their exposure, which has helped them achieve this purpose. Rentals United has helped simplify the whole process and offers them a variety of many new channels to choose from, which saves the whole research work.  And enveloping all this, they feel immense trust with Rentals United to achieve their business goals.  

Along with Guesty as their main PMS, used to manage the listings and to sync to all the channels, the company also has Dashboard, their own internal software to managel everything, including chatting with guests.
