"Comforts of Home" is a property management company with 54 vacation rentals spread over Florence, Rome, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona & London. The company has been active since 2012 and has been working with Rentals United through the connection with "Klik Villas" property management system since March 2016. Christina Schreiner from “Comforts of Home” kindly answered our questions.

The Problem

Since the launch of "Comforts of Home" in 2012, the company has offered their high quality, comfortable apartments to American and international students in Europe. At the beginning of 2016, the company decided that they wanted to expand their target group so that they could still receive bookings off student season. So the focus had to change to not only on renting their apartments to students but also to tourists. In order to distribute the properties to many tourist channels, they needed a system that could help them realise this. This is when the collaboration with Rentals United started.

The Solution

Before working with Rentals United, "Comforts of Home" exclusively worked with international student programmes. None of the apartments were advertised on listing sites. For maximum impact, Rentals United recommended advertising on 15 connected channels. Even though it was a very drastic change, the transition went smoothly.

Because "Comforts of Home" is connected to Rentals United via their PMS "Klik Villas", the manager Cristina is able to update all the listings prices and availability seamlessly via the "Klik Villas" dashboard.

Although the apartments are only available for tourists during holidays and summer, "Comforts of Home" receives many bookings via Rentals United’s connected listing sites. Christina reports how varied the nationalities of guests are and how much time she’s saving. Even though brings her most of her bookings today, Christina finds the relationship with them challenging but her account manager is always at hand "I really like Romy, she helps me a lot and she responds very quickly."
